Beauty fanatics, listen up! The prices of quality skincare products can be outrageous, especially if you’re purchasing anti-aging potions and lotions. These items are also not always packaged in the most eco-friendly way, and they can contain various chemicals, which might make you wonder how safe they are for your skin. By using some common household products, you can clear up acne and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. So where do you start?

Acne No More

Do you have oily skin or pores that are constantly becoming clogged? Then use natural products to dry up those pimples in no time. If you have aspirin in your medicine cabinet, crush a pill and apply it to your acne. Adding water to the pill can turn it more into a paste. Another way to spot treat pimples is to apply a drop of tea tree or melaleuca essential oil. Essential oils can be used for aromatherapy and house cleaning, so why not get another use out of them?

Blast Away Those Imperfections

Homemade facials can bring your skin back to life, and you can use inexpensive items such as mayonnaise, honey and sugar. Cover your face with a light layer of mayonnaise for 15 minutes can bring back smoothness. Also, the salt in the mayonnaise helps firm the skin and reduce the size of pores. If you need to exfoliate, use a mixture of honey and sugar. By moving the mixture on your skin in small circles, you can gently slough off dead skin cells and smooth out fine lines.

Lemon juice is also an effective tool to reduce the look of age spots. The lemon’s acidity helps to lighten those dark spots on your face and neck. If you’re issue is with under eye circles, apply warm tea bags to those tired eyes. It’s actually the caffeine that perks up the skin.

Hair Treatments

During the colder months, it’s easy to develop dry skin on your body as well as your scalp. Combat dandruff and condition your hair with vinegar. Blondes can also use vinegar to protect their hair from chlorine.

Can you believe that all of these products are effective on the outside of your body? If common household products work on your skin type, you won’t need to buy those expensive skin care lines and other face products that often go to waste and clutter your drawers. Just think about how many times you’ve switched skin care brands in the last few years…maybe it’s time to give these items a try.

Thanks. I figure if you can save money and use products you already have at home to get great skin, why not go this route, right?

Natural skin care and health products are often the best solutions because they usually do not contain harmful chemicals. A good ingredient to look for is aloe vera.
