More Lead Recalls Plague Consumers

TDI International based in Los Angeles, CA is recalling approximately 150 toy trucks due to lead contamination. It is a high speed pull-back toy that is manufactured in China. The truck is yellow, with the words "Prowl" and "Victor" on the unit with police lights on the top. These trucks were mainly sold in Houston and Hidalgo, Texas stores. The company just announced the recall as of the 13th of January so please contact the company if you possess one of these units.

Woodstock Percussion Inc. is recalling about 2,800 steel calypso drums sold mainly in catalogs due to lead contamination as well. The paint on the drums themselves have high levels of lead. These drums, made in Trinidad, were sold between December 2006 and December 2007 for approximately $100.

Munire Furniture Inc. is recalling approximately 9,000 pieces of baby furniture due to lead contamination. One child has already been diagnosed with lead poisoning after the child chewed on a crib. The furniture, which is made in Indonesia, has high levels of lead in the red coating below the top black coat.
