Are you driving a flex fuel car and don't even know it?

Below you’ll find a list of all vehicles that are on the road today and are Flex Fuel cars. Meaning you can run you car on ethanol (E85) or regular fuel.

Currently ethanol isn’t as cheap as it can be, but there are more gas stations opening which offer it and with higher demand it will become cheaper. Ethanol is grown and produced in North America, meaning less dependency on foreign oil and creation of new jobs.

Beginning with 2007 models, the Chrysler Group vehicles capable of using both gasoline and ethanol will carry a special badge. The gas caps also will be yellow, the color associated with ethanol. In the near future maybe we’ll see more car manufactures advertising this feature of their vehicles.

I have a 2004 4x4 Ford Explorer, and a 2000 4x4 Ford Ranger. I have been making my own ethanol for 3 years now. Since I live in Florida, I get all the free oranges, grapefruits, rotting fruit, etc that I can handle. I am happy to say my cost of making my own ethanol is 23 cents per gallon. I make 55 gallons of fuel at a time on a continuous still setup in a single day. 55 gallons lasts me 2-3 months. I use discarded broken wood pallets to fuel the still. It takes 3 barrels of fruit to produce 55 gallons of pure fuel. I do not mix 15 percent gasoline. I use it straight. That's right. There is no need to mix 15 percent gasoline. You can use dry gas, STP, or marvelous mystery oil to keep yourself legal. There are also kits available online for under $100 to convert any fuel injected vehicle to run on either gas or ethanol without any fancy engineering skills. Its just plug & play...My daughters 2002 Chrysler Sebring is not Flexfuel, but runs perfectly fine with the add-on module. You just have to keep an eye on the fuel lines. They may start to break down if they are substandard.

I drive a 2003 Hyundai XG350L. I was wondering if it can use E85. I checked the owners manual and it said it could use 'Gasohol' whatever that is (90% unleaded, 10% ethanol), so I'm fairly certain it can't. Is there perhaps a kit or something I can put or have put on my car that will enable me to use E85? Also my wife drives a Saturn Vue, not sure on the year, 2000+. Do you know if hers can be converted? Please e-mail me.
