Flushable, Compostible, Biodegradable Diapers!

Diapers are dirty business – literally, but gDiapers are making this inevitable part of parenthood a little kinder to the earth. gDiapers have a washable cotton outer pant and a plastic free flushable refill. Their diaper keeps an infant dryer than a normal disposable too!

The gDiaper outer pant comes in a lot of fashionable colors so you can match your little one’s diaper to the outfit – how’s that for eco-couture? Next there is a snap-on liner that is washable. It can be machine washed or even hand washed. The company says that with 10 minutes of hand washing, the liner is ready to go again. Next there is a flushable insert. That’s what can be flushed down most toilets.

All you do is make enough of a tear in the flushable part of the diaper and release it into the toilet. gDiaper kits come with a swishstick that you can suction to the back of the toilet (to keep it away from little hands). Give the flushable a swish with the stick and flush! As the suction builds in the toilet you can then release the outer liner of the flushable. It’s as easy as that! gDiaper doesn’t claim it’s mess-free. There isn’t a diaper on the market that can convince any parent of that. What they do say, is that instead of a disposable diaper lasting 500 years in a landfill, there diapers are dissolved in a matter of minutes in the toilet.

Don’t want to flush? The flushable inserts are compostable too! Why not let your little one help in the garden the only way they can as an infant! Let them fertilize it! gDiaper says insert will breakdown in 1 normal cycle in your composter. Don’t want to flush or compost? You can simply toss the liner in the trash too and you are still doing the Earth a bit of good because instead of 500 years, the gDiaper only takes 50-150 days to breakdown!
