I don’t know how baking soda would work. That is interesting allgreen, I have never heard of that. I will have to try it sometime. |

I hope it does I don’t think it killed the ants, I believe it just created a barrier that they didn’t want to pass. |

I have never heard of baking soda & salt being used for ants. I wonder if it works on other bugs as well… I guess the only way to find out is to try it. Of course, I’ll have to invest in a lot of baking soda now. It seems like everything I want to try uses the stuff… |

Salt certainly works on slugs, but it seems a bit cruel. |

Even drawing a thick line with chalk will keep the ants away.Diatomaceous earth, not the pool grade one, is also good at keeping ants away. |

That is interesting Oceangypsy, have you actually tried using a chalk line to keep ants out? Next time I have a problem with ants I will give it a try. |
