Hi all Parenting responsibilities have grown wider as we need to keep our babies and the earth healthy. Even celebs are sharing eco-friendly tips (link). I found that this site is a one-stop-shop for all the information on link. May be you can find some useful organic baby recipes here. |

Apple Cider Syrup 1/2 cup granulated sugar Stir sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Add apple juice and lemon juice. Cook and stir the mixture over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the margarine until melted. Serve in a lidded pitcher. Makes about 1 1/3 cups. |

Really great ideas everyone, we’ll forward them to our friends who just had a baby a few months ago… the sooner you get them on the right path the better they’ll be off in life! |

We have always fed our little ones the same thing we ate, just cut up smaller or blended. Of course, for first foods we started with steamed and pureed fruits and veggies. |

hehe stav, this sounds like a response my DH would give. LOL The sweet potato mash is a good idea for a little one though, my babies always loved sweet potatoes. |

Another thing I did for my babies- buy fresh (organic) produce that is in season. Steam and puree it. Then I would freeze it in ice cube trays or small canning jars. We made a bunch of apple sauce this way one year. Baby loved it! |

I’ve done that with apple sauce too naturelf.. goes nice with roast ababy actually.. works for stock too… reduce down the liquid so it’s concentrated then freeze it up in ice cube trays and just drop them into the soup or whater.. do it yourself oxo.. |
