I keep special ones, but less and less so as i get older… i have all my 18th cards and my 21st… and all our wedding cards… i also keep a few special ones but most of them go into recycling. |

I saved my kids 1st birthday cards and any cards from baby showers and when they were born. Beyond that it is just a storage issue. I also noticed that people do not give cards as often with gifts like they used to. |

I have some cards but most have something personalized in them; much more than just a signature. |

I’ll keep cards that have a special note, but the ones with just a signature or a “Happy Birthday!” and a signature go into recycling. When I was away at college, I made a collage on my wall each year with all of the postcards, cards, and letters I received. That was fun, but at the end of the year anything that wasn’t special or a postcard went into recycling. (I collect postcards, so I have just about every postcard I’ve received since I was 5 or so in a box.) |

Another great idea is to make plaster of paris and then pour into a small pie tin. Allow to dry and then cut a card to fit the front of the plaster. This makes a cute little decoration for moms and dads. |

I have special cards saved. Our wedding, baby and wedding shower. I also have any cards with sentimental value and letters also. I seem to collect less these days as more people send ecards and emails. |
