I just hate those little gnats that invade my home at night when I have the windows open. The screens are very very tiny but somehow those gnats get in anyway. UGH!

I know what you mean, they get little gnats or midges in Scotland at certain times of the year, they are a real problem.

Gnats are horrible, thankfully they are not really a problem where I live.

I get the occasional one because I always have my window open when I’m home, but they haven’t been a real problem for me yet. (Not like the spiders were *shudders*)

Open windows mainly attract moths at this time of the year (in England). I don’t mind moths if they behave but it drives me mad when they flutter around the lights.

My moth problem hasn’t been that bad this year because instead of using the outdoor lights, I have a sensor light instead. They just don’t have any light to be attracted to.

We keep the bathroom light on at night and the moths come in and settle in there.

Get a sensor light instead. Those moths would drive me insane.

A sensor light wouldn’t work in that situation. It is the only light we use at night, it gives just enough light to the whole of the upstairs to be able to get out of bed and go to the bathroom without turning a succession of lights on and off. Or in the case of the younger members of the family, turning the lights on and forgetting to turn them off!

When they stay still moths are very beautiful to look at.
