I have heard so much of bamboo fibre clothes…but never found any around here….is there an online store where I can purchase?

I have found them here and there. The bedsheets I found them at a home store, discounted! You just have to shop around and keep an eye out.

I found my bamboo kitchen towels at the super market! I was really surprised they were offering these. I waited until they were on sale and paid $2.50 for each one.

I’ve never had anything bamboo. In fact, I didn’t know there were clothes made from it. You learn something every day.

me too orrymain…it was just recently that I discovered them…but I have olny heard about bamboo fabrics…never used them…would want to know the texture of these fabrics…are they rough?

They are surprisingly soft. I thought they would be rough also, but they are not. Bamboo is great as it grows quickly and is resistant to pests, so no use of pesticides are required.

When I think of bamboo, I think of bamboo sprouts. We used to have a huge bamboo … uh, tree? grouping of bamboo? I remember we had to burn the ground to get it rid of it.

Bamboo is quick growing. This is why there seems to be more products made out of bamboo in recent years.

I just ordered a holder for my netbook that is made of bamboo. It’s actually a chill mat type of thing, but it’s ‘green’ because it’s bamboo, so they said.

That sounds cool Orry Main. Let us know how you like it.
I am looking at getting a new back pack. I saw some the other day that were made with bamboo. A bit pricey, but I am sure they are durable.

I sure will. It’ll probably be a few weeks before it arrives, but I like that it satisfied a need and was environmentally friendly at the same time.

I love when that happens! It does seem to be getting easier to find eco friendly every day types of items.

On another note, bamboo makes excellent flooring also. Last summer we had to redo all the floors in our house. We put in a wood laminate. I was looking at the bamboo flooring, so beautiful but not in our price budget.

I have seen bamboo hedges a lot in our area….and they look very beautiful….bamboo is not that costly here…maybe because it is easily available but bamboo clothes are still not up for sale….
