hey, this info is taken from a site called The Chlorinated Water and Cancer Connection According to the U.S. Council Of Environmental Quality, “Cancer risk among people drinking chlorinated water is 93% higher than among those whose water does not contain chlorine.” It may cause much heart disease too. Dr. Joseph Price wrote a highly controversial book in the late sixties titled Coronaries/Cholesterol/Chlorine, and concluded that nothing can negate the incontrovertible fact, that the basic cause of arteriosclerosis, heart attacks and stroke, is chlorine. “Women with breast cancer have 50% to 60% higher levels of organochlorines (chlorination byproducts) in their breast tissue than women without breast cancer.” It is not just drinking chlorinated water that is the problem. |

I have head this before. They do give this information to people with compromised immune systems. They consider us to be more ‘at risk’ and we get many more warnings. It’s pretty scary that the government can make a decision to keep this kind of information from the general public because, ‘it might cause mass hysteria or panic’. So it’s OK for us all to get cancer so long as we aren’t panicked. Sigh. |

I don’t know…I tried checking it on hoaxbusters and couldn’t find anything. For example, does the French population in comparison really that much lower when it comes to Cancer? And how do those numbers compare to the rest of the world and in countries that do have chlorinated water? Not really disputing the claim, but want to get more info first. |

That part I’m not sure about – the French population – but I am sure that the chlorine in the water is harmful. I was warned when I was really sick with mono that I should boil my water. I also had a shower filter at the time – thought it was expensive to replace so I no longer have it. |

So it’s OK for us all to get cancer so long as we aren’t panicked. Sigh. what i think might be happening here is.. think about the millions and millions of dollars that pharmecudical companies make off of cancer fighting drugs.. think of the millions of dollars hospitals and docotors and cancer ‘research’ companies are making! they don’t want to cure cancer, they don’t even want us not to get cancer.. all they want is to go on feeding us meds and making billions by ‘treating’ our cancer… its always about the damn money! if i’m right, may God have mercy on the souls of those who put money infront of peoples health and even their lives… |

Damn hamster rolled over my mouse and deleted my original response to this. Let me try again: This might explain a condition I’m currently dealing with in regards to this topic. If I put 2 and 2 together, it makes sense. I drink a lot of tap water, and always have. |

I’m sure there’s a lot of truth, but again, I’d want to see some other concrete science behind this. Perhaps there are other variables that have not been discussed int his article. Remember, correlation between two things does not mean that it’s the absolute truth. Horselover, sorry to hear that you’re having health problems. That must be very difficult. |

I’m fighting through them, but this finding could explain things for me. But I could be wrong. It’s been known to happen. |

going to a chiropractor helped too eh? Interesting…. |

I also heard about that book, but haven’t tracked it down. I really should, and soon. I know that where traditional medicine fails, there are lots of other treatments and cures. I find it overwhelming to explore them though. I remember my chiropractor explaining to me how it helps so much more than just your back … because all the fluid systems in your body are out of what if your spine is out of whack … so you can’t get toxins drained, and all that stuff. That’s my technical paraphrasing, of course. At any rate, the chiropractor is pricey, and no longer covered by BC med as it was when I was a teen. |

We don’t use chlorine because it’s safe, we use it because it is cheap. We essentially still pour bleach in our water before we drink it. The long-term effects of chlorinated drinking water are disastrous. This is outrageous! I have often heard about the dangers of chlorinated water and have heard about the benifits of the shower filter especially if you put essential oils in the filter. I really would like to get something like this. |

I have been told by a dental hygenist that you should never make baby formula with tap water.. this is because of the chlorine in the water. |

think about this aalaia, if you put fish in a swimming pool, they would die! what does that tell u about chlorine? of course we get a tiny bit in our drinking water but over the years…. your ‘paraphrasing’ is right Queen! go to naturalcures.com to find the book! |
