What’s happening in your community on Earth Day?:D

Lots of people have talked about projects and activities upcoming. I’m thinking about Raptor’s Tree Planting idea. From what I’ve read on the http://www.earthday.ca/pub/home.php>link website there is an event like that. It looks like there’s lots of support for school children, education, and volunteer clean ups. All great stuff.

So I’m starting this conversation for us to keep up with ideas and opportunities to celebrate together what is now the 37th year of this event (37? I must have made an arithmetic mistake!)

tree plantiing is definatly one of the best things to do for the earth day. remember to plant trees that are native to your area. aslo, fruit or nut baring trees give an added bonus to the local wildlife

This is vital information for everyone. I’ve posted the link to this topic on another forum so others can read about it.

It’s now April and I’m sure we’re all looking forward to Earth day in a few weeks.

I can’t wait to get an update on the tree planting in the city here.

So, what did everybody end up doing? I didn’t go to an event as my kid had to attend something that day (that was originally Saturday). However, we did a clean up around our block area. Our lot is situated right next to a bus stop and a lot of people just dump stuff there.

So, we didn’t end up going to something big…but we tried to do our part.

Made a lot of money at the garage sale yesterday. Planted the front garden on Saturday and can’t wait to see what it looks like when it blooms.
