That’s good to know about the American tax breaks. Unless there are these type of initiatives implemented it’s going to be very hard to get the population into installing their own solar systems and spending the start-up money.

RFL1986, you’re very right. But they also need to bring the cost down of the equipment. Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck with most of their credit cards near or at max spending. Most Americans cannot afford the money to purchase the equipment. I’m one of those Americans.

That’s very true as well. If the initial cost doesn’t go down then most people aren’t going to want to spend their spare money on something they figure they could go without. There has to be a balance that creates incentives toward going solar.

One thing that the government could do is increase the tax breaks for people who do go solar. Here in Arizona the state could also offer tax breaks because we’re one of the few states that gets the sunshine about 90% of the year.

Home solar system is so expensive.
