We are taking our annual beach trip at the end of August. I can’t wait, we will be spending a week on the California coast!

Hawaii was heavenly. Now it’s been a ton of years since I’ve been there, but how awesome it would be to go back.

The ocean is very inspiring and relaxing. I just love how good I feel when I am at the ocean. So clear headed and free…..

One of my most favorite places to be….ever! Is the beach. Day or night, any season.
In response to the thread, I also like to meditate to relax.

There is kind of meditation I have heard where you just close your eyes and listen and try to recognise the different sounds you hear…after a minute your mind is completely devoid of any other worry and you do feel relaxed….

That sounds very simple and relaxing atulag. I may try this sometime. Would be great to do first thing in the morning.

Visualization works. Seriously, our minds are so powerful. If we just tune out the mess, it’s amazing what we can accomplish just sitting down.

Visualization is an amazing tool to use, as is hypnotherapy. I used these during child labor. With great results I might add.

I usally relax by reading a good book or sitting back and listening to some soothing music. Works every time!

I use it at the dentist. I’m big into TV, so sometimes I distract myself by replaying scenes in my mind.

Oh yes, the dentist. I do the same when I go to the dentist, I am such a chicken. I have anxiety about just getting my teeth cleaned. LOL

And I’m about to get a root canal. I’ll be having a lot of internal dialog that day!

Oh, take care Orry Main. That is great that you have such a tool that you are able to use when needed. It really does help.

Deep breaths helps. Being tired helps too (I try to sleep through it in an odd sort of way). My dentist is very good though.
