Someone I met recently told me that when you buy Heinz tomato Ketchup in Canada, it tastes better because it’s not made with HFCS. Any Canadians on this forum that can confirm or deny? Anyone tried them both? He told me he lives in northern NY and would drive across the border to buy groceries. I hope he wasn’t just pulling my leg.. |

These are some great recipes. Thank you all for sharing. I have been buying organic ketchup at Trader Joes. I may try one of these recipes. |

The recipes look great for the cooks among us. Is there a natural brand though out there that is available for purchase? I’m afraid I don’t have the cooking gene. |

Thank you for sharing these recipes. We do not use a lot of ketchup. I usually buy ours at Trader Joes. They have an organic version that my family likes. |

Sorry, rubybeetle, but I never check the ingredients of ketchup so I really don’t know any brands that don’t have high fructose corn syrup in them. |

I like to read labels. LOL Some family members do not like to shop with me-I wonder why?! |

my eyesight has gotten to that point where reading labels in a supermarket is a major chore…. |

It is bad enough that the writing on labels is so small sometimes. I have had some bottles that I have not been able to read and my close up vision is good! |

I think as consumers become more educated about ingredients and chemicals in the products we buy the companies that make them are a bit worried. They make efforts to make the fine print and to re-name items or even omit some ingredients. |
