Reguarding organic foods for years I’ve had no luck losing weight. My new doctor told me to start going organic and do not eat anything with high fructose corn syrup. this along has allowed me to lose. I’m totally sold on organic and natural foods now.:) |

That and the unprocessed part of it will help a lot with losing weight. Glad to hear that it is working for you. |

Fructose is natural sugar. Anytime you remove sugar from your diet will you help lose weight. I am glad that it is working for you. Don’t forget to exercise! That will make you lose even more. |

Whole foods and organic foods have really come to the forefront in today’s grocery stores. In my area all Hannaford Supermarkets have recently undergone extensive renovations to include entire sections of natural and orgnanic foods. There must be something to all this b/c major food chains would not do these kinds of changes if there wasn’t a huge profit in it. |

You’re definitely right, there is a huge profit in it. Enough people are changing over to organic and natural foods that the major food chains have recognized that there is a profit to be made. Not just because of the increased interest but because these foods cost more. Which really doesn’t make sense because they’re organic and natural. I guess it must cost more to grow without all the pesticides and chemicals. |

I found that when we switched to more organic and natural foods, you begin to crave them more. The cravings for the junky foods gets less. I enjoy the way I feel when I eat healthy. |

I never knew that Organic foods really increase the level of losing weight. Any kind of food having in smaller quantities and more number of times would surely be helpful in losing weight and maintaining normal diet. |

The only problem I’m fighting with organic food is not the taste or the quantity. But the price! I am on a limited income (disability) and the price makes it difficult for me to afford them. But I do buy them when I have the extra cash. |

It’s true that they are a bit more expensive but it’s definitely worth it for your overall health. Good luck with the weight loss. Eating organic can have a lot of benefits aside from weight regulation too so good choice on yours and your doctors part! |

I have switched over the completely organic now for my grains and I do not eat as many processed foods as before. I have noticed a weight loss, but I need to add in another day at the gym to see more of the effects of it all. |

I really believe if North America stopped putting High Fructose Corn Syrup in so many things, and also eliminated all “white” bread and refined sugars obesity wouldn’t be such a problem. My wife and I switch to only whole grains about a year ago, and the difference is amazing. We only had a few extra pounds to start with, but without those “junk” foods, it’s easy to maintain a healthy weight. You feel fuller after eating, don’t eat as much, and stay fuller longer. We basically won’t buy anything if “sugar” or “fructose” is either the first or second ingredient on the label…you’d be surprised how many foods this includes! |

High cost of the Organic foods even stop me from buying them, but few are the optional foods which I purchase compulsorily like Spinach. I find many of the Americans being either perfectly figured or over weight, is it mostly the fast food that affects them?? |

I find many of the Americans being either perfectly figured or over weight, is it mostly the fast food that affects them?? Is the high cost of organic foods because they don’t keep as well without all those preservatives? I think in America there is a huge amount of sugar added to foods. Even plain buscuits/cookies are coated with sugar. Over here in the Uk I despair of cereals – even the weight loss ones are loaded with sugar. Congrats on losing weight, well done. Yes cutting down on fruitose will definately do it for you, as does cutting out processed food. |
