If you could afford it put in a classified ad or a small ad in the local community paper where you live and post it online at the local community papers if you can.

As well put up posters in Malls and offices that allow it it with a date and time.

I know here some radio stations do free community announcements and the local community channel here shows them after hours so maybe that is something too you could look into?

Hell even call the press or a press conference about your plan and see if you can get a city counselor or mla, mp, congressman to join your cause.

Maybe contacting some environment groups in your area and see what they suggest you could do.

I’m all about craigslist. You can post on there for free. Maybe have a small potluck/gathering for similar minded folks that help you that day to clean! Heck make it into a weekly club. Who knows what you could learn from these individuals or what contacts you could make.

And maybe you can add this as one of the events during earth week, etc.

Contact one of your local news stations and your local newspaper and asked them for help. Remind them that it’s an environmental issue and it will help the community which is a good News story for them to run. If you are lucky, they might even help pay for trucks and manpower.
