New Documentary Refutes Global Warming

I agree with Tater. I wouldn’t trust a word about the environment from those who try to dispute it.

I agree, and I am always curious about the possible financial motives of those that dispute global warming. I mean, do they have an agenda for their views?

Junior As an avid environmentalist I’d like to see your research. A number of scabs cover over the environmental impacts of industialized consumption of resources around the world. As soon as Reagan I think it was came into office they through out the Northwest Forest Plan after asking for the forest services research for a plan. Often if the Executive branch has had a chance, to cut off the nose despite the face of ecological impacts, forecasts, and predictions. Remember James Watt. The reality is however that at no(know) previous point in history has the opportunity and potential to impact the environmental world been so great. Documented history does show climate fluctuations that have global impact. Freezes in Europe etc… but the rizzin population of the century of development and expansionism has resulted in scenarios previously unperceivable to the human Physc. e(?) that has not dedicated generations to its perception of ecologic systems. I’ll let the union of concerned scientists figure it out. Then I’ll pray for actions that support biodiversity’s , like human life.

of course they always have an agenda for their views. and its job security.

big business will always dispute it, because admitting it is happening would mean they would have to change their ways, at a huge cost to themselves.. and that would get inthe way of profits…

I think it is pretty difficult to refute global warming when the average mean temperature of the planet continues to rise; at least up to the point it begins to decline once again. I am often talking to average folk on the street that are confounded that there is a debate at all. I appreciate the comment in a previous post suggesting we quit whining and start acting to change our ways.

The debate is often confused. On the one hand we have climate change. Global warming and global cooling are inevitable cycles of earth changes and the planet is aging and everchanging. never is it ever what it once was so get use to it. The other side of the coin is the “human induced climate effect” debate. That is another kettle of fish and it’s rotten.Let us not forget that earth changes do contribute immensely to climate change and nothing we do is going to change or reverse that effect. The fact of human toxic effect on the planet and the ecosystem is indisputable. While we do have a myriad of toxic contributions they are coincident with natural toxic contributions.

One little mentioned byproduct of human existance and coincident industry is heat. Let us also discuss the natural contribution of the sun which is responsible for “solar forcings ” in the upper atmosphere which takes all our smog and other particulates both manmade and natural and combines and recombines them into harmful products like SO2 and permits formation of O3. The sun is currently still in a prolonged state called “solar minimum” which means that while we have not reduced our emissions one bit since this solar minimum began some 11 or 12 years ago; the sun will soon begin to increase it emissions and cause greater forcing which will have untold effect as will the increased heat from both industry and the lack of reflective surface which was once the polar caps and mountain ice caps and glaciers which are rapidly diminishing.

Perhaps all there is left to debate is how we will survive the next few decades while industry and economics take the front seat and the environment is wasting away in the dark box car of our resource guzzling train to inevitable decline. We are a species out of control and every bit akin to locust that eventually consume themselves to near extinction. We think we are smarter than that but as one might say; Action speaks ;ouder than words. Debate if you will; for Gaya’s sake-Bloody do something about it.
