I think it must be terribly hard for these families. I am sure in some ways it helps to know that the world mourns with them because of the terrible losses on that day, but having reminders of the way they died and the whole trauma of that day on tv and on the radio must be like picking a scab. I am sure many would prefer to remember their loved one as they lived rather than the way they died. |

I don’t think it will ever be possible to take account of all various needs of the many families involved. I just hope that there will be an increasing awareness that individual families may want to remember privately in their own ways, and many may not want to see footage every year of the collapsing towers, people jumping and many other scenes from that day that are etched in our minds |
