Small space gardening idea

I came across this site with a great idea for small space gardening. Although I have a lot of space I might try this as an experiment.

That is a wonderful idea, it’s too bad I can’t understand the concept of growing 100 potatoes if you’re not actually adding more seeds to the dirt.

I am not 100% sure about this but to explain it simply, as the plant grows you mound dirt around it and new buds or what ever the correct word is develop out of the stem in the new dirt creating more potatoes. That is how I understand it anyone correct me if I am wrong.

Oh I see, so new spuds grow up a vine in the dirt. I’ve never heard of that, but maybe we’ll try it here, it sounds interesting.
