What does energy conservation mean to you? Is it a buzz phrase or do you apply it to your Home Life and business world? |

I do the best I can to apply it in our home. We talk a lot to our kids about the importance of energy conservation. A big one is to remember to turn off the lights when leaving a room. |

We do our best to be economical.. we recycle, energy saving bulbs in every room. Heating on a timer and set a little lower, Good insulation around doors, triple glazed windows, deep roof insulation. As we replace household appliances we try and getthe most energy efficient new ones. Little things but they do add up. |

I agree that every little thing adds up. I recycle, too. I do think energy conservation goes way beyond that, though. |

Every little thing does add up. This is why it is important to make every effort to do those things and to teach others the same. |

I try to conserve as much energy as I can and am trying to rub off on my fiancee. |

Just keep trying, it will rub off eventually! My hubby has really come a long way since we met……hehe! |

I try to do what I can by turning off things when I’m not using them, not running the air conditioning or heating unless absolutely necessary, opening windows for natural light, recycling… Of course there’s always room for improvement and I can do a lot more to conserve energy. |

Of course, we can all do more. The important thing is to be aware and to be consistently making an effort to improve. |

Practice makes perfect. I used to leave so many lights on; it took a while for it to become habit to turn them off. |

Not so much leaving on lights, but leaving things plugged in. I had that bad habit. Took some time to fix it, now I pretty much unplug anything that is not in use. |

I still need a bit of improvement there, but I’ve really done as much as I can physically do at this point. |

I try to conserve as much energy as I can. I buy items that will help make the planet greener. I also try to not use as much electricity when I am at home either. |

It is amazing how much good you can do with just a little bit of effort. |

I participated in Earth Hour! I do try to save energy other times too, of course, but it’s fun when everyone gets together to do it for an hour. |
