About The Site:

link is a environmentally focused blog. The site was launched in April 2006, so its still new to the Internet. We try and focus mostly on environmental technologies such as: solar energy, hybrid cars, etc.

Since this is a new site it’s not generating much money and whatever we get we currently spend on server costs. However we’re trying to attract writers by giving them a opportunity to publish their work, some of our articles have hit 25,000 views so the potential for exposure is there, as long as the article is engaging and people can relate to it.

We’re hoping to develop a longer relationship with a writer, we can afford to pay $5 per article at this point, if your articles draw a larger audience we can revisit that number in the future, but since we don’t have any funding at this point that’s all we can afford.

We’re hoping to publish 2-3 articles per week coming from our writers, this is on top of our daily posts. We will provide some direction in the content we would like you to write about and you’ll have the flexibility to write some articles entirely with your discretion.

Article Criteria:

The articles should fall in the following categories: Environment, Alternative Energy, Oil, Politics & Environment, Space, Pollution & Climate Change.
Every article, if possible, needs a technology aspect to it, this will make the articles more popular and help the distribution.
Articles should be at 500-800 words.
Include the sources that have been used for research.
Include statistical information, people on the Internet live for statistics and the more numbers in the article, the better it will do.
With every article there should be a point of view that anyone can associate with: i.e. try to stay away from Canadian only news/articles.
Make sure it’s split into sub topics. Bold the subtopics so people can quickly scan through the article, they’ll be more likely to read the full article this way. ie link

Steps (You MUST follow these steps):

[*]You can see the list of article topics we’re currently looking for link, if you have any suggestions of experience in a specific area please let me know and we can find a topic you can cover well. We’re trying to stay on the technology side of the environmental issues, so articles talking about nothing but organic foods will not fit.
[*]If you haven’t sent us any examples of your writing please do so.
[*]Submit the topic – go to link and choose a topic and assign the topic to yourself or add a new topic and then assign it to yoruself.
[*]Register at link
[*]Once you get the go ahead from us you can start on the article
[*]Once finished login to the website and publish the article as a draft also upload an image. You’ll see a place to do this below the writing area.
[*]Once you’re happy with the article send an email to us that it’s ready for publishing, at this point our editor will look it over and publish it or work with you to do some minor changes.
