Green Up Your Sex Life

Did you know that your love life could get better? Did you also know that your love life could be eco-friendly too? Even the most basic items such as condoms contain animal byproducts, so being more eco-conscious in the bedroom will also satisfy your vegetarian or vegan desires too.

Safe sex products you find at your local grocery store or gas station can contain chemicals as well as animal byproducts. Often times condoms are made with a milk protein called casein. If you’re a vegetarian or vegan, you’re going to want to avoid these products, but what is the alternative?

More earth and animal conscious condoms are made from natural latex. In addition, they are cruelty free and don’t contain animal byproducts. Depending on what stores are available to you, it might be easier to find condoms that meet these requirements online. However, you should still check your local intimacy shop and inquire about eco-friendly products. Although the shop might not currently carry them, it might be something for them to consider.

Recently, an Irish company designed the first “green technology sex toy.” The vibrator is called the Earth Angel, and it has several eco-friendly features. First, it’s a wind-up vibrator, so you can enjoy 30 minutes of pleasure by spending only four minutes of winding it up. Also, the device is made from 100 percent recyclable materials. The Earth Angel could be the first of many sustainable sex toys that you will be seeing in the near future.

Below are a couple more ways to green up your love life:

  • Light a three-in-one soy candle that gives off a soft glow and works as a moisturizer and massage oil. A massage with scented soy candle oil is a relaxing way to please your loved one.
  • Skip lubricants and use a natural one such as your saliva, canola oil or corn oil. Or take advantage of the lotion you already have in your bathroom.

Living a sustainable life can come in full circle if you’re willing to make the changes. Now you can take a little green into your bedroom with these new products and tips.
