While we can turn off the TV when we're not using it and use as little water as possible, is there anything to do about items that are always running? Our refrigerator is always plugged in and running, for example, but short of moving into an igloo, is there any tips we can do to cut down on the energy we're using?

Would you mind if a wind farm was built in your neighbourhood? Would you rejoice inthe benefits of cheap eco friendly power on your doorstep, or would you protest that it would blight your view, and move immediately?!

It looks like the stock market is recovering a bit, and Obama's plans for public works projects and converting the US to alternative energy will be reality.

Has anyone found any alternative energy companies being publicly traded in the stock market yet?

I'd hate to invest in an established stock if I can find one in an industry that will yield more profit, and most wealthy people get in on the ground floor of new technologies.

I just read an article about Intel, the company that makes microprocessors, The company is changing its business practices and will start using green technologies and production methods.

What gets me is that this is going to happen Kuala Lumpur.

Knosing that many U.S. companies stopped manufacturing and hiring in the USA because third world nations didn't, and still don't have nearly as many environmental regulations.

Is Intel really changing anything? Do you think they will try to meet U.S. standards in foreign countries?
