Lyndsey asks:Are there any eco-friendly air conditioners?
It's early in the year, I know, but I'm thinking ahead. I resisted getting AC as long as I could, but my apartment is on the top floor in a city that gets very hot, muggy weather in summer. Drawing the blinds and putting on a fan didn't make it bearable last summer. Are there any AC models that are a little "greener" than others?

Best time to look for a new AC unit
Is before summer. Look for those that are Energy Star Appliances and most have their environmental impact listed on their box.
