How do you cope with the (what would be for me) constant fear? I live safely in the UK where the weather is generally temperate and the geology stable and uneventful. What's it like living where the earth could literally move beneath you at any time?

Very un-nerving!

Although seismic activity is a common part of our Earth's cooling and motion, it can be very scary to find one's-self moving around for no reason! We are from southern California originally (major shaky), and now find the Rocky Mountain region also shaky, but to a lesser extent. Yes, it's somewhat scary, but so far it hasn't been the end of the world.

I'm calm about it

I'm calm about it, mostly because I live in northeastern Ohio, with practically a zero chance of eathquakes.

Not a Biggie...

I grew up in earthquake country, and it's taken pretty philosophically. Now I live in tsunami country, and I can't help but be as philosophical about them. Now, my daughter and her family lives in tornado country, and I worry ALOT about that!
