WE've all noticed oil companies stepping up their ads about finding more oil in the USA. They are clearly afraid of losing their death grip on our nation. We also know that regardless of their fear, this country will make the switch/

How do you think they will adjust?

Will they keep yelling for more oil exploration while secretly buying up new alternative energy patents? Will they seek new regulations to slow the switch?

If we are smart

We will want the switch to be slow. The economy is in a crisis. Add to it the number of people that the oil industry employs, and it would collapse. Any transition needs to be gradual. Besides, people need to be trained to work in the new industries and that isn't going to happen overnight.
