when i was a kid i used to love
short trips to nearby national parks and recreational nature sites we made on weekends to have grill parties there... tasty barbecue food, a whole forest to explore, the change of the air and scent from the city... maybe your kids will like it too.

why not give them a new hobby of creating something out ofwaste or decorating their rooms with just junk in a nicer way...you know the things they show in programs like art attack.
