Hello, I've heard rumors of people not being able to sleep because of wind farms... I know also of birds being killed... is there any other side effects of wind turbines/farms?

Things are improving
Also, the size of the "propellers" is increasing, so they can generate power at lower speeds, thus lessening the danger to wildlife. Off-shore wind farms are also becoming more popular.

Side effects of wind farms?
I heard about bats having a few problems about a year ago. The problem was fixed, though, by making the blades of the turbines stop when they dropped below a certain speed.
