It looks like Boone has stopped thinking about hte wind farm so much, in favor of taking advantage of the gaping hole in the US Auto market.

Wit GM going into bankruptcy, and Chrysler emerging but having to rely on FIAT to make cars with reasonable gas mileage, Boone wants to start a new company that specializes in alternative fuel cars.

One problem....

The alternative fuel is natural Gas, meaning you still have to have a huge company getting out of the ground and processing it for use.

The whole point of going to hybrid and then completely electric cars is to stop using fuel that comes out of the ground. In my mind, it lends itself to greater independence from everyone from the corporate stooges to speculation on the commodities market.

I refuse to buy another car that relies on a fossil fuel, or a fuel that has to come from the same source as fossil fuels, unless I can plug it into my solar powered home and hold down my personal expenses.

Doyou think natural gas is truly a good alternative to oil?

Are we aware?

That T Boone Pickens owns vast amounts of natural gas? That's why he's rich. I think that means the other shoe has dropped.

I don't think

that natural gas is any more beneficial than what we rely on now. We need to become totally independent of these types of energy.
