We'll be looking to get solar panels within a year so I want to get ones that are top of the line so I don't have to replace them in the near future. What's the most efficient panels you can buy now?

They're Going to be EXPENSIVE!
Some of the ones NASA uses only reach 40%. There are some new developments for the commercial install that reach 20%, experimental at 29%. Per panel costs could run you in the $8,000-$10,000 range.
