recently, there have been a surge of stars who have been asking us to think about global warming, climate change, etc...the point is are the stars really that concerned..I mean do they themselves lead a environmental friendly life, do they switch off the lights or not waste water or recycle just as they advise us to do or are they just very good actors who can not be trusted on issues like these.

Are actors Human?
If they are then they are just as prone to hypocricy as the rest of us. Simply because they are in our faces all the time doesn't make them intelligent.

They Are Legit
I can't speak for all actors, but the large part of the actors that speak out for the environment walk the walk and talk the talk. I come from where the stars live, and I have lots of friends and relatives who do services for them or work for the stars in some capacity, and the stars are laying out beaucoux bucks to be environmentally friendly!

Thanks for the info, HereToday. I've always wondered whether celebrities just say certain things to reap good publicity or whether they are being genuine.

I think there must be some...
who are genuine. I would imagine it would be easier for them to be exposed if they weren't. Saying that, I have no doubt that some of them don't practice what they preach on green issues, but that goes for the whole population. I'm certainly glad that some people do though.
