absolutely..

and i would personally volunteer to take care of weeds... i'd make sure they all got to grow safely and multiply.. after all they are plants too.... ;)

As noble as the idea is, it isn't something I'd support, unless it was applied to the wealthy, only..

There are too many folks living below the poverty level and incapable of caring for themselves, much less care for animals

I don't think

that I would agree to any law that made such participation mandatory. I would, however, be in favor of incentives to do so.

thing is, if people

fail to do the required.. who is going to run around prosecuting them all. You'd need a whole new beaurocracy to deal with all the transgressors

I know you are right

People will not take it seriously..they will do more harm than good...yes...problems galore...but shouldn't there be some standeard stricter rules to take care of the plants and animals...like everyone atleast being part of org. like WWF and funding them a little bit.

like that compulsory smacks of totalitarianism to me.. We have free will, and it is up to us to make a choice.
