Where we live bears come out of the hills to raid garbage cans and try to break into sheds to get to pet food. Once they start doing this are they able to be relocated back into the wild or do they have to be killed?

When bears become too "civilized" is it better to put them down or should they be relocated?

In our state they are relocated, but the people who leave food available are ticketed and fined!

everybody like the easy life!

I think the bears or any other wild animals prowl on human inhabited places because of the ease with which they get their food without even flexing a muscle for hunting. So if you do not leave anything they will have to return to their forest for food. And surely they can be relocated and they will turn back to their wild ways.
