We use batteries a lot at home so I want to buy some on ebay like a bigger pack... any ideas which last the longest? I also saw the USB batteries (they charge via USB) are they any good?

Use the Bunny
I found that the Energizer ones work great. Having a 4 year old son, batteries and their life is something I know about, being official battery and fixer of all toys broken.
Stick to the wall charger. USB would take a bit longer. Also, USB is being pushed to do more and more for what it wasn't meant to do. We should all focus on using it to transfer data.

Rechargable Batteries
I've had the same rechargable Duracells in my camera for over nine years. They just started not taking a good charge.
