I think most people who are even a little concerned are already doing whatever they can to tilt the equation in our favour...and it is really us..and our little contributions that can make a big difference.
we are acknowledging that we ourselves need to do something to help mother earth 'heal' herself.. sadly there are still not enough of us, but if we can each persuade our neighbour to do one little thing more than they are doing now, then this will spread like like a tidal wave and make a difference.

"Exponentially" seems to be an appropriate term. You are one of the true friends of our Earth, and we can continue to expand the knowledge of environmental consciousness through this site and others!!
We've been through lots of fads, some silly, some beneficial, and we, like you, hope this isn't another one! The song was "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool"(Barbara Mandrell?)
A lot of people will I think and quite a few do... but long term and mass scale I don't think this will work... I think technology will be the main factor in helping earth "heal itself" ... technology should reduce our footprint just enough that the earth will recover.... just like with the ozone layer.

Thanks, Bart We seem to be of similar ideals. "Technology" can be a bit broad. Let's annoy our "Techno-Buddies" to help us jump-start the healing process! If we care, then we will succeed.
I remember back in the day when "ecology" was the first word on peoples' lips (well, after the Viet Nam war), but it went out of fashion when "everyone" decided to disco. Cranks like me continued our conserving ways. Now it is big news all over again. Hope it's not another fad.
