I have a feeling that some of our environmental issues are exacerbated by the centralization of food production and manufacturing. The only way to solve these problems might be through decentralization and limited transport of goods.

Decentralization also mandates a change in the division of labor, which will affect communities.

Do you think communes would solve these problems?

I think you are right

decentralisation can indeed solve a lot of problems...even companies have many zones of production factories don't they so that specific area get products from specific zones, reducing the time, cost and maintaining the quality...and it will not only help thee nvironment it will also definitely cost much less...
