HereToday asks:How severely should polluters be punished?
Is it enough to slap a fine on a corporation (or individual) who spoils the environment? Would society be justified in imposing punitive damages up to and including jail time?

Punishing Polluters...
The best way to insure nothing changes, is to put someone in jail. Fines provide funds for clean up more effectively removing all possibility for progress by putting someone in cold storage.
