I know of two main guys David Suzuki and Al Gore... who are some other well known experts that deserve to be mentioned?

Rajesh Pachauri
He was the one who recieved the Noble Prize along with Al Gore for their work on climate Change and I think he is doing a great job.

Great thanks do you know if there are any videos of him speaking anywhere online? It would be interesting to hear him talk. I've never heard of him.
