Twiceshy asks:Will education help?

While a greener society is a good thing, too many people have a lot of misconceptions surrounding the differences between naturally occuring chemicals and those that are man made, which means a lot of the greening of our society will involve a lot of wasted energy, and a lot of ineffective programs.

Do you think there should be a real push to educate people in the Natural Sciences so that they can make better decisions, based on sound, scientific evidence?

Yes. YeEs. Yes.

I agree with your idea wholeheartedly. I think the frst step to being concerned about the environment is knowledge. If you do not really know about anything you are not bothered whether it stays or goes. So education is the key tool to enlightment for environment's sake.

I Agree...but

Children should be taught Natural Science, along with a love of the earth. There is scientific knowledge, but there is poetry as well. Both need to be taught to our children.
