as an aid for hay fever? It is that time of year again, and many of us will be endlessly sneezing and sniffling. They say that locvally produced honey helps you build an immunity to the pollen that bothers you. Anyone tried it?

YES I have

It's worked for me, 3 of my kids, my spouse and both of my brothers.

Actually it has worked for everyone I know. DO NOT give honey to anyone under 2 years of age without consulting your doctor.

Local honey only

If you get your honey locally (within 120 km) it has a much more beneficial effect, because the same pollen that induces your allergies is used by your local bees to make their honey.

That's interesting...

I haven't used honey for that, but I see where that would make sense.

Speaking of honey, have you heard that it speeds up the metabolism and could assist with weight loss, providing you don't eat more to compensate for the faster metabolism? I've spoken to someone who was told that by his doctor while discussing his weight loss.
