is very popular now, and many people drink it because they think that it is "safer." However, I've read that bottled water has just as many "bad stuff" in it as tap water. What do you think should be the answer to this?

Tap water over here

is perfectly drinkable, and restuarants face fines if they refuse to give you tap water free at your meal if you ask for it.d

Boiled water

My doc says, boiled water is still the safest kind of water to drink even if you take the bottled water and boil it! A minimum of 20 minutes of boiling is supposed to be the safest.

I'd agree...

to the boiled water, but it seems like an awful hastle to have to do this. You would think that there should be laws that bottled water should REALLY be pure.

i find that odd

Atula? Bottled water is supposed to be certified pure, and we don't even boil tap water over here in the UK. There is no need. Is there an issue with the purity of bottled water in India then?

tap or bottled...

i trust my own taste buds... if it looks clear enough and doesn't have any unwellcoming smell then it is alright for me.

Most places have safe tap water

Around here, most people are just too lazy and buy bottled water (or other drinks) instead of getting tap water. Or they go with the trend of it being "popular" even.
