A Tasty Toss-Up
With changes coming in farming, fair trade, transportation, and energy, I think eating a banana will become OK. Throw the peel in the compost; I'm told worms love them!

Good question, and one that I have never considered before. It does cost a lot to transport bananas, but they are also very healthy for us.
