chris1203 asks:Organic Foods

I've been wondering about the claims for organic foods. With acid rain and all, is there any "pure" foods anymore?

I guess not

when you put it like that Chris.. But what does 'pure' mean anyway... In centuries past there were other pollutants, and we at least seem to be cleaning up our act somewhat now.

Good point

Now that you put it like that, I suppose you're right. There has probably never been any "pure" foods.

Pure? Simple?

If the apple was grown in the Pacific Northwest, it hasn't been exposed to acid rain. Well, there's one good reason for food to be shipped. "Pure" means, I believe, that it was raised with as few chemicals as possible. When we begin to deal with our pollution problems, hopefully we will be able to get rid of acid rain
