Have you ever made, or eaten, a tofu steak? I read an article, and a recipe, about it the other day. I must say that it really does not sound appetizing to me.
I have eaten tofu a plenty of times and yes...it does taste a littel different....especially when you know what you are eating is not the regualr cottage cheese but tofu...the steak thinng I have never eaten....
and I didn't like it. It was basically a marinated slab of tofu. I haven't tried it yet, but I read that the way to give tofu a more "meaty" texture you should freeze it first.
You make that sound absolutely yummy, lol. Maybe I will see if I can find a recipe for it and see if I can prepare it so that it tastes more like meat.
