I heard that sprouts, like bean and broccoli sprouts, actually have more nutrition than the mature plants.

Wouldn't this be the best thing to grow if you live int he city and have little land available?

Are Sprouts the Answer?

I think they are exactly what the doctor ordered for people who want fresh food, grown by with their own hands, but don't want to use community gardens.

Micro-greens

When my husband was working at a company that manufactured and sold wasabi paste to high-end restaurants, several chefs told him about the good of sprouts or micro-greens, especially the chefs from the natural restaurants. They were of the mind that sprouts were more densely packed with nutrients.

Sprouts are high in protien, minerals and fibre

As you said, sprouts are really really nutrtiuos and quite simple to grow. I usually grow a variety of sprouts at home of different pulses. All you have to do is keep the Pulse or bean in a damp cloth for a day or two and keep sprinkling water every now and then. The sprouts are ready, you can toss up a salad, make a sprout soup, eat them with a dash of lemon or even cook with some onions. Extremely deliciuos and healthy.
