Good for roses and the shoes!

I have seen for myself that banana peels are very good for roses and you dont even need to put any other fertilizer. Banan peels are high in nitrogen which the roses thrive on. And if you have a little extra you can also use the peels as shoe shiners....try it out...it really works...:)

Very cool I had no idea about the shoe shiners... do you use the inside or the outside of the peel?

Yes, for roses

I've used them in my garden and they grow very large and look great :) Try it next spring.

Banana Peels

They really do. I've used them in my gardens and I was amazed at the size of my plants. Just try it this year and see what happens. What could it hurt?
Comments:
Exactly in the end you're just making the soil more rich by adding other organic material to it.

A-pealing :)

Okay, I admit that I thought that this was an odd idea, but I spoke with a friend who is an agriculture/horticulture major at our local university and he said that banana peels are absolutely ideal food for plants. He said that potassium is an important building block.

nuts not peels

in my garden, i have found that using banana peels makes the garden smell and also makes the produce have a slight banana aftertaste. I have found that mashing up hazelnuts and sprite works well.
