I think

that it depends on who you ask. Certainly man has had a big impct on the world around him, and has hastened the demise of some species.. I also think though that the Earth goes through these cycles and every now and then gives itself a shake and turns things upside down. Is the earth warming up, and heading into a new ice age hundreds of thousands of years from now? Yes... is i ALL our fault? No, i don't think so.

"About what amount of percent?"

...And if someone came up with "what amount of percent", what would it prove? That question is a distraction, means nothing at all.

some people.....

need to have a number though heretoday... it makes it easier to understand when they can put a label on something that says.. 'it's THIS bad' I agree it is a meaningless number though!

You're right, stavy, but, my only question...

If people need to have a number, then shouldn't they be the ones to do the studying to find what the number might be?
I think that the time for explaining why we are environmentalists has come and gone (thank God), and the people who are NOT environmentalists have some explaining to do.

Chill Amigo! It's an honest question. Why don't eight-year-olds learn math skills without a teacher?
You don't talk straight.. You jump from one thing to the other in a guise of logic, but it's not, it's cheap debate practice. And, you're no foundation. Why do you pretend to be, I wonder.

An open question...

I don't think that anybody really knows how much of a percent that humans contribute to global warming. I think that that's impossible to know for sure.

Thanks from us, chris1203. We really don't know, and heretoday is right that as friends of the planet we really don't have any explaining to do.
