A scientist in California has recently suggested that global warming can be delayed if we all paint our houses white. It is his suggestion that as white reflects the sunlight, our houses will therefore help delay global warming to some extent. He has also asked atleast 100 major cities of the world to try this out. What do you say to this.

It might help... also maybe planting a big tree?

Big trees are known to product a lot of shade saving on big time electricity bills... the white paint should work in theory too..

White and Green

I'm not sure if roofing could be painted or manufactured white, and I'd think the roof area was the most important part, The big tree, though, that's a great idea. There are many foundations that plant trees in people's names, so if you're an apartment dweller, pay to plant a tree. We did that for a friend and he was touched and flattered at the same time.

Painting houses white.

I would think it would be a very boring world if all houses were painted white.

It makes as much sense....

It makes as much sense as some of the other insane ideas that I've seen spouted about in the last 3-5 years.
