I know that the past generations have been more judicious in using recycled, and home based products a lot, but that was maybe out of necessity for many. But in today's situation when we already know the threats of global warming..theoritically do those above 60 years of age, understand what is happening to the world? How do you ask them to change some of their habits..considering they are older, wiser and more adamant to any change.

I don't think

that they are that aware of the problem. My mother was against Al Gore becoming president because she was afraid of all of his "environmental fanatacism."

my mother does

she has energy saving bulbs in all rooms, and has separate bins for recycling her rubbish, and unlike me, NEVER forgets to take her own bags when she goes shopping!

as for my grandparents..

they lived a very simple village life, and were probably a lot more green than i am. They produced their own vegetables, and fruit, reared pigs, goats, chicken and rabbits.. Made cheese and butter and milk.. Had no tv, rarely had store bought clothes or groceries, and my grandads were both able to make furniture like tables and chairs and wardrobes etc..
