Mine is ok

my system is Energy Star rated.

My monitor shuts itself down if idle for 5 mins, and my hard disks after 10 mins. My system goes into total hibernation mode after 20mins..

Not Energy Star but I'm a energy saver pro

I always turn mine off when I'm finished with it. I even remember to turn the monitor and printer off too.

We have three options on my computer for energy. One is low energy and low performance I try to use that as much as possible but sometimes it makes my computer too slow.

I never use the high performance and high energy usage setting though.

Good job, yeah our computers are so fast now you hardly utilize more then 80% of the power at doing typical surfing

I do it myself

I usually switch off my monitor when I am answering the phone or door....and I do make sure to switch off the computer as soon as my work is done...seems like I will have to go forthe energy star versions next time I am buying a PC

Energy Star

Mine is energy star as well, and I shut everything down when I'm not using it, not only to save energy but also to clean out the cache and allow updates to install.

Overnight...

I shut mine down overnight or if I'll be away for a few hours. The monitor also shuts down and I think the computer hibernates too, but I'm not sure what the details are as far as when and how much power is saved.
